The Role
As a Junior Naval Architect, you will play a key role in the design and analysis of cutting-edge FPSO systems (Floating Production Storage and Offloading units). You’ll be hands-on from concept through to operational support, collaborating with engineers, draftsmen, and stakeholders from various disciplines. Your mission: deliver top-quality naval engineering work—on time, within budget, and with safety always front of mind. Occasionally, you’ll visit shipyards or international sites for on-location engineering support.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out weight control and stability analyses for offshore structures

Perform hydrodynamic assessments

Execute hull strength evaluations using Finite Element Methods (FEM)

Apply and interpret regulatory standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, DNV)

Communicate clearly with clients, certifying authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams

Identify and report technical risks or anomalies promptly
What You Need to Bring

A BSc or MSc degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline

Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges

Experience (internships/projects) with hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and FEM software is highly desirable

Familiarity with international maritime regulations (such as MARPOL, SOLAS, DNV)

Excellent English communication skills (spoken & written); Dutch is a bonus but not required

A proactive attitude, with the flexibility and drive to work in a fast-paced, international setting

Willingness to travel occasionally for project/site visits
