The Role
As Lead Electrical Designer, you’ll be at the heart of multidisciplinary teams, steering the electrical design for major offshore and energy projects. You’ll also take the lead as PDMS Coordinator for Electrical & Instrumentation—setting up libraries, configuring systems, and managing project workflows. Beyond the technical, you’ll mentor junior designers, foster team spirit, and champion the continuous improvement of design processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the electrical design process for wind, oil, gas, and hydrogen projects, ensuring full compliance with project and industry requirements

Act as PDMS Coordinator for Electrical & Instrumentation: configure systems, set up libraries, manage workflows

Support and coordinate project teams in the use of PDMS, ensuring best practices and technical excellence

Collaborate closely with engineers and designers from other disciplines to deliver integrated, optimized solutions

Mentor, guide, and inspire junior designers

Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of design packages and technical documentation

Drive ongoing improvement of design processes and tools
What You Need to Bring

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MBO/HBO level or equivalent)

At least 8 years experience in electrical design. Preferably within the offshore energy sector

Proven experience with PDMS, including previous coordinator responsibilities

Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to inspire your team

Passion for innovation—especially in new energy markets like offshore hydrogen
