Construction Engineer

Amsterdam area

About the Role

As a Construction Engineer, you’re the essential link between engineering and successful offshore execution. You’ll take ownership of the engineering output for modification projects—ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and on time. Together with the Offshore Construction Supervisor, you’ll define the manpower, materials, tools, and services needed. You’ll also help design the execution strategy for offshore construction works—where every detail counts.

But there’s more:
You’ll be hands-on with technical queries, support the drafting and review of Offshore Work Packages, and help prepare work orders and purchase requests in Maximo. Sometimes, you’ll coordinate with third-party contractors—being the all-important focal point who keeps everything and everyone on track.

Quality is your middle name: you’ll ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards, from technical documentation to as-built packages. You’re also the administrator and coordinator for all things paperwork—think reviewing, editing, approving, and filing documentation, working closely with a team of specialist engineers and other departments.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent Technical College diploma + solid experience)

  • At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience

  • 3+ years’ experience preparing offshore construction works

  • Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Proven ability to coordinate, organise, and keep a cool head when things get busy
